I’m very happy to announce that Mac4Lin has been declared as one of the finalists at Sourceforge.net Community Awards 2009 in the Best Visual Design category. Optionally, you can also click on the first box in the right frame on my blog (http://phoenix-ani.blogspot.com). You do not need to Sourceforge.net login id. All you need is a valid email id. Each vote is associated with an email id, which needs confirmation that you actually voted (you will get an email giving a confirmation link, so all you need to do is click it). The whole voting process takes just 3 clicks.

I urge patrons to vote for Mac4Lin if they feel it should win. Mac4Lin is completing with projects like Xbox Media Center (XBMC) etc. I once again thank everyone for their continued support, feedback and appreciation. Mac4Lin exists today because of you all Do spread the word around about this.

Thanks a lot Anirudh for informing about that, I couldn’t use Linux OS after long time, Coz. now only with Microsoft technologies. but I hope upgrade Mac4Lin to new version.

The main Mac4Lin sourceforge.net has been updated with new themes. These themes fix the “Engine Error” in the newest version of GNOME. The pack includes an updated installation script which does not attempt to set the GDM theme autmatically. Also, a user contributed Mac4Lin uninstall script is now included in the pack.

හරි අවුල ලිහා ගත්ත

gconf-editor එකේ /apps/metacity/genaral/button_layout එක හැදුවහම හරි ගියා.

තවත් එකක් කියන්න ඕන, මමත් වැඩියෙන්ම කැමති GNOME තමයි. ඒක හරිම සරලයි.

මම නම් දිගටම භාවිතා කරන්නෙ Mac4Linග ඒ වගේ මම KDE වලට වඩා Gnome වලට කැමතියි, ඇයිද මන්ද. Gnome භාවිතා කරන්න පහසුයි වගේ, අනික පෙර නිමියෙන්ම එන නිසා Gnome වලට පුරුදුවුනාද මන්ද..:)

මම පාවිච්චි කරන්නෙ උබුන්ටු Hardy. මමත් දාල බැලුව. හරිම අගෙයි. නමුත් මම පුද්ගලිකව මේ පෙනුමට අකමැති නිසා මම මගේ පරණ තීම් එකම දැම්ම. එත් පොඩි ප්‍රශ්නයක්. Window වල Icon එකයි buttons 3 යි වම දකුණ මාරු වෙලා. ඒක නම් තාම හදා ගන්න බැරි වුනා …….

කොහොම වුනත් Apple look එකට කැමති Linux use කරන කට්ටියට මේක හරිම අපූරු වේවි.
